i hope someone can answer my questions -

- how long is the bustrip from Mombasa airport to malindi , i think we will be travelling with a tourist bus to the hotel ?
- are there any ATM's in malindi ? what is the best way to manage your cash ?
- Malaria - we will be going fishing 4 days out of the 7 days , what is the likelyhood of getting malaria in malindi , i normally use all the anti malaria sprays ect , but i wnat to know if i need to take the pills ?(October2005)

Hi the bus trip is about 2 hours to be honest on a good day.
Atms there is a barclays bank in the town center and lots of forex's there keep an eye on the rate (£-ksh) travellers cheques may be a bonus for you.

Malaria its always advisable to take them before you come out, avloclor worked for me and are about £1.90 a box rather than the rip off ones the doctors give you.

Definately take malaria tables, we had the "expensive" ones- malarone, we had no side effects ( 9 of us) but choose whichever ones you wish, just make sure you take some, there is a lot of malaria there, my brother in law has malaria - believe me - you dont want it!
