I will travelling from Plitvice Croatia to the coast and thought it would be fun to go to Bihac for a day. Does anyone know of a decent place to stay? Are there any issues with border crossings or the roads there?

Thanks

Border crossings from Slovenia and Serbia are easy--don't know about the rest.

Bihac is not far from Plitvice, there was nice accomodation on Una River, hotel "Sunce", but destroyed during the war, dunno if reconstructed (last summer it wasn't). In just a few hours you can see whole place of Bihac, so no need to stay there. From Bihac to Adriatic coast, take the road in direction of Knin and Split and in a few hours you'll reach Adriatic.
You wont have any problem on border crossings.

if you are US or EU citizen you will have no problems crossing the border. nice placeses to dine you have: restaurants "chardak","river", "sunce" etc. if you want to stay over the night i recomend motel ADA-S wich is in the town beside the river, cosy rooms, cheap.

Bihac was one of the loveliest places I visited when I traveled throughout BiH in late summer 2000. Local legend says that once you've splashed in the River Una, your soul will beckon you to return. I did, and I do. Try Hotel Park for accommodations.

Hi,
We went to Croatia for a holiday and travelled to Bosnia for a rew days. We had to pay for some sort tax at the boarder crossing. APART FROM THAT WATCH OUT FOR SPEED CHECKS AND ON THE SPOT FINES.
Found the Bosnian people to be nice, much nicer than the Croats.
