we wil be on a tour of provence in mid May. one of the optional side trips is to the casino in monte carlo for an evening. is this side trip worth seeing?

If it is the grand old casino I would say yes. Saw it many years ago and it was beautiful. If it is just the new casino then I would skip it. Monte Carlo is a beautiful place to visit whether you go to the casino or not.
