I am hopefully visiting Larnaca at the end of the month with my Mum - any top tips?

The main place to hang out is Finikoes (phonetic spelling). That's the seafront area between the Marina and the Castle. Beyond the castle is the old Turkish area, where there are some very good seafood restaurants. The best shopping is in the main street that runs parallel to the seafront, one block back.

there is not an awful lot to see in Larnaca, although the Agios Lazarus church is worth a visit.

Mackenzie beach is good for beach / chilling out type activity.

if you will be on Cyprus, you cant miss one famouse beach in Ayia Napa /Nissi beach/ is just 45 km from Larnaca.Is there white sand, amazing sea, friendly people...small paradise.
All travel agency make some trips around Cyprus...beautiful place is Afroditas beach, where was Afrodita borning.
