Runaway Bay How is Breezes

I was wondering if Breezes Runaway Bay was any good. Going with a group of singles in their late 20's. Wondering if they had good activities and entertainment.

Runaway Bay RE: How is Breezes

I think Breezes RB is phenomenal!! I've been there 4 times and would love to go back -- I'd pack up and go tomorrow if I could! I've met lots of other people who've been there multiple times as well. It's a fun, clean resort. There are plenty of activites, both individual and organized. If you're into doing your own thing, there's all sorts of water sports like snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, etc. There are people there to help with equipment if you don't know how to do stuff. They'll go with you or just show you what to do and let you go. If anyone is certified to scuba dive, you can 2x a day for free. I don't scuba, but some people I know from there are huge divers, and they go twice a day, every day that they are there, and think the diving is spectacular. If you aren't certified and want to learn, Breezes offers courses. In terms of more organized activities, they have a very active, very friendly entertainment staff. They do everything from Rum-Mixology to Crazy Pool Games to Bingo to "Best Tan/Worst Burn Contests" to Goat Races. The pool is definitely the place to hang out, even if you just want to watch some of these things but not necessarily join in. There are also organized things like bike rides, walks, the Circus School (I definitely recommend this!), aerobics classes (both regular and in the pool), etc. Most organized activities go from about 9am to about 6 pm. They have nightly entertainment after dinner - usually a show around 9 or 9:30 pm, they have piano music (sometimes sing-alongs) and/or karaoke around the main bar in the lobby area around 10pm, and the disco opens up around 11pm and goes until the last person leaves. You really won't be lacking in things to do. (If you do want even more variety, they often offer the choice of going to Hedo -- about a mile up the road -- for a day at no cost. Just ask at the desk if you're interested). I did write a tip on Breezes, so I don't want to just repeat everything I said in there. If you have other questions, or want info an specific types of activities or anything else, let me know. I'd be happy to help out with more info. ~Marissa
