Hi
I'm going to Hue next week. Which hotel do you recommend? Century riverside, Saigon morin or Huong Giang Hotel? I only have 1 day there. Where should I visit? thanks noddapood |

Providing you have a full day I would suggest taking the river cruise this will give you a good overall view of some of the important places around Hue. Alternately you could spend most of the day at The Citadel whih is very interesting but you will need a Lonely Planet or similar as we found there was no information we got all the info form the LP guide. There is also a very good market just over the bridge and watch out for the lights being turned on we were almost blinded as we were crossing the bridge at the time the lights went on.

I agree, you should take the 1-day dragon boat cruise down the Perfume River and then get them to drop you off at the Citadel at the end. I have just been there and put details of this and all of the places to visit, on my Hue pages this week. I really recommend the Phu An Hotel- it is amazing value for a brand-new hotel.

I recommend Saigon Morin Hotel which locates at the center, across the Truong tien bridge. From there, you can even walk to Citadel (turn to left after crossing the bridge), Dong ba market (turn to the right after crossing the bridge), very close to the tourists/backpacker services area. There are several good restaurants a short walk away from the hotel ( to the left as you exit the main door of the hotel).

Huong Giang hotel will be the place to appreciate the Vietnamese style and hospitality, it is located right on the Perfume River.
