| Ankara | Hostel in Ankara Posted: Thu April 7, 2005 04:32 AM UTC
Hi, I'd like to know about hostels in Ankara (prices), and if 3 days are enough to stay there. (I am looking for hostels between 10 and 20 dollars).
Thanx in advance, Dorian. |

When I was in Ankara in June 2004 I stayed at Otel Pinar. It is just down the street from Kale, in the older part of Ankara, Ulus, and it is close to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisation. They have rooms of different categories, with or without bath. I decided to pay more to get my own bathroom, a big bed and a TV.
No breakfast is served at the hotel, but there is a cafe opposite serving typical Turkish hotel breakfast. I paid 25 000 000 TL for my room. A room without bath and TV would have been 14 000 000 TL (10 dollars). I don't know what you plan to do when you visit Ankara, but if you want to see the major sights I would think two days is enough.
