I'm afraid questions like this don't get many answers, because all information is already on this website. If you type "Parma" in the destinations box (right corner), you'll have all the pages that have been built about Parma, together with tips about shopping, nightlife, ....

hope you are visiting Parma in spring , is the best season . Anyway I suggest you to rent a car or have a VT local guide to drive you for shopping. In the city vicinity you have a lot of chance for good shopping ( food,dress as Max Mara or Coccinelle bags outlet , and ...and... ) . Around the hills you have interesting castle ( ghost are included ) to visit as well the nature , you have bed and breakfast house to spend a weekend and ride horses or bike or just walking. The city is nice and atractive , many museums , churches , .......
Restaurants is not a problem as well pubs .
