hello, VT members,
I intend travelling from Jiaozhou-Qingdao in Shandong to bejing by month end.Can someone help to tell me the train fares{hard-seat, soft-seat and sleeper}and departure time?.In which train station will i stop in beijing?

There are 2 trains departing from Qingdao to Beijing (BJ Railway station, the one in city centre).
T196 ETD Qingdao1823 ETA Beijing 0550 and fares for hare-seat, hard sleeper, soft-seat and soft sleeper are RMB116, 215, 184, and 326 respectively.
Another one is T26, ETD Qingdao 0833 ETA Beijing @ 1950, fares are the same as the one mentioned above.

you can choose per your travel arrangement, ie, T196 may be the best choice for a short time visit since you don't need to waste one day on the train.

Pls, i hope u wouldn't mind giving me more directives.actually, my real destination in Beijing is the Beijing international airport where i'll be heading to pick up someone on the 30th of this month. Being a foreigner, i've lived in jiaozhou only for a month and a half now. these are my questions;
1)Can i get a direct train from Jiaozhou without going to Qingdao?
2)On arrival in Beijing,which bus can i take to the airport? i don't intend going by taxi cos they are cheats.

Hi Theo.
U can take subway from the old beijing train station, and get off at xidan station. There is an airport-city shuttle bus station in xidan, u can take the shuttle bus to get to the airport directly, the ticket fare is RMB18.

my visitor has decided flying directly to Qingdao, nearest to me.
1)Can u tell me which bus NO.i can take to the Qingdao airport?
2)Hope there is just one airport and bus station in Qingdao.

Here's the info on airport bus in Qingdao, hopefully it's useful for you.

1. Bus 701
from Hai Tian Hotel, No. 48 Hongkong West Road, Qingdao
bus timetable: in every hour start from 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 till 18:00
Ticket: RMB15/each

2. airport shuttle bus
from. Si Fang Hotel (sorry not sure if there's a proper fancy English name of this hotel, it's a Pin Yin in Chinese),No. 1 Wen Zhou Road
bus timetable: in every hour start from 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 till 18:00
Ticket: RMB15/each for big bus (DAWOO), RMB 10/each for minibus (IVECO) (am I getting the spelling right? sorry.. :P)

Thanks for your last message.I've just been informed that from Jiaozhou, i'll drop at the innermongolia station(nei meng gu che zhan).From here, how do i get to the airport? Is this station far from the train station too? do u know the bus No;that can take me to the train station? Are you based in Qingdao? if so can u give me your contact number?

Sorry Theo now become totally useless on such point since am not in Qingdao (am in Beijing) and all the info. I sent to you is based on my 'google' search and study of map....
I have no idea for the train station etc. information in Qingdao.... I will try if I can find such info. from the web....
