Vaduz is such a small place that I don't think you need to go outside the city to enjoy. Anyway, apart the Castle which is on the mountain surrounding the town (no visit), there's not much to see around. For beautiful mountain scenery, either go to Tyrol (Austria) or to Graubunden/Grisons (Switzerland).

If you really WANT to walk vaduz streets AND pay terrible high hotel prices= stay in Vaduz. For a true Panorama of rhine valley and Alps, and lower charges ,stay in a Triesenberg hotel !!! email malbuninfo@lie-net.li (they cover T.) I recommend Samina. ps ask which bus stop is nearest hotel, then consider going one beyond it !!!!! that way, you will walk DOWNHILL instead of struggling Uphill !!!!
