Mississauga Universities and Colleges in Mississauga & Toronto
Posted: Wed March 30, 2005 09:22 AM UTC
My sister is planning to study post-secondary education in Ontario, either in Mississauga or Toronto. I would appreciate information (list) on major universities & colleges on both cities, and if possible, their rankings or any review (if any).

Thank you so much.

The University of Toronto is the 23rd Ranked University in the World. The next Canadian university on that list is UBC (University of British Columbia) at 35.

In terms of Canada, UofT is tops.

Other major Universities in the Toronto area are:
York University located in Northern part of Toronto (formerly known as York)
and Ryerson University located in Downtown Toronto.

I'm not aware of any universities in Mississauga.

Georgian College is one of the best colleges in Ontario.

Every year it's ratings are in the mid & high 90's. It offeres Universiy degrees as well as college diplomas. The classes are smaller than average and it is in a more urban area but still has a surprisingly diverse student body.

The website is http://www.georgianc.on.ca/

Good Luck!
