Hola Audrey,
Long time, no chat! Segovia is a town in the Castilla Leon Region of Spain. I found this for you: "Castilla León is not only the largest region of Spain, but as well the largest region of all European Union. The elevated plain is limited by the the mountain ranges Sistema Ibérico to the east, Cordillera Central to the south, Cordillera Cantábrica to the north and by Duero river towards Portugal." Somewhat less than 100 kilometers northwest of Madrid. See http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/gbr/dyn/con The www.viamichelin.com site is very useful for locating cities in Europe as well as getting distances between two locations... Bill

Thanks for your reply. I was just being too lazy to look it up for myself but thought it would get the attention of someone. That's interesting to know what a large area it is. I shall search more as I have probably travelled in that area from Figaras to Madrid airport ! Yes, I had a pleasant Easter at home. Stayed off our roads where it is safer ! But I spent a few days in my c/van at Muriwai beach the week before when weather was fab ! Happy Trails, Audrey.

It's about an hour's drive northwest of Madrid. It's beautiful and well worth the trip!
