The only time I can eat McDonalds is when I am either pissed or hung over. Try a hash brown and a bacon and egg burger. Water helps, and a Panadeine. Otherwise, are you sure hair of the dog doesn't work??? If not, then, go back to bed. : )

ARGH...add me to the hangover list....I hate being hungover on a religious holiday. All of those cures so far don't look too appealing..

Your head is sore because your brain has shrunk due to lack of blood. Black puddings are full of blood. Fry a few slices with a couple of rashers of bacon. Place on sandwiches smeared thickly with margerine and wash down with some raw eggs mixed in goats milk. You will be up and about in no time:-))

Margarine!!! Grumpybum, you're going to make me sick and I haven't even got a hangover yet!
The shrunken brain thing is a lack of hydration. Drink water Wee Watty!!! Black pudding ughhh!! I think I would prefer the hangover! : )
PS: You're obviously not drinking enough. If you did, you wouldn't get a hangover, as your body would adjust. (It's all scientific-like).

Lack of fluid equals thickening of the blood therefore not enough is getting to the brain capilliaries. Sorry if I made you feel sick.

What the h*** is black pudding?? Whats worse, the hangover itself or remembering all the dumb things you did the night before?

Black pudding is coagulated blood if I am right.
The worst thing is NOT remembering what you did the night before and finding out when you catch up with people that you don't remember who tell you what went on!

You are correct, black pudding is coagulated pig's blood with fat and barley or similar.
In my younger days I spent a lot of time getting sloshed and an even greater length of time recovering. What a waste of time.
Now I am older I wish to retain the memory of every moment.

Black pudding is a particular delicacy of northern england.
"Black Pudding, one of the great creations of civilised society, is essentially congealed pig's blood in a length of intestine. There are many variations; in England, the pudding is usually bound with rusk and has bits of fat in it. The French have their boudin noir with nowt but blood in the casing, the Germans blotwürst, the Spanish morcilla which is often bound with rice."
As a vegetarian i have to admit that it is one of the few things i miss...its traditionally part of a full english breakfast...completely unhealthy but gorgeous...its like marmite..you either love it or hate it

You don't drink it, it's solid, you carve it up and eat it!
I think I have killed off far too many brain cells for my own good too.

Tina, have you actually eaten that stuff too? Am I crazy or does that just sound wrong? I guess it can't be any worse than pickled pigs feet, or sheeps brain. ewwwwww, I ate some sheeps brain once in Crete, nobody told me what it was till after I swallowed.

NOOOOOOOOOOooooooo Kat, not at all!!!! It was the sound of it that got me over my pissededness. I don't want to have to do that.
As to your question of alcoholism - alcoholics do not really get hangovers, because their bodies adjust to the constant blood alcohol levels. Well, it's like that for my girlfriend anyway! She never gets a hangover because she drinks every day.

Well, I'm usually up for trying anything, but I think I'll have to pass on that one, besides I don't know of one single grocery store that sells anything that remotely resembles the sound of it.

Hi Kathleen, I just tried to leave a comment on your homepage, but VT will not let me through at the moment. Perth will look even better when I finally build my pages. It is a great place to live. The quality of living is very high here. A lot of sunshine, al fresco restaurants and lots of water-related activities. Wineries, art galleries and beautiful countryside. I love it!

Of course, the best hangover cure is to simply not drink. I may follow that advice, after I go through the two cases of beer in my fridge!

McDonald's is the cure all of hangovers. A double quarter pounder with cheese. An extra cheeseburger. A supersized Coke, and supersized french fries with ketchup. MMMmmmm...I need to start drinking again...

Well, it's already Monday, so unless you were really hung-over this is probably too late for this time?
However, in the future you need pure oxygen, nose cannulae or full face mask, at a rate of 5 litres per minute. While you're at it, stick yourself with an intravenous needle and take a bag of intravenous fluids to replace your volume of fluids and electrolytes. You'll feel right as rain in about 30 minutes. No side effects. Ah, don't smoke around the oxygen. That's not too healthy.
But next time, stick to German beer. It is so pure it won't give you a hangover. Zum wohl.

Now it's my turn to have a hangover. Stayed up late talking to a religious guy who was trying to convert me. (He failed!) My cure was last night's pizza reheated in the oven, a paracetamol, and a fizzy vitamin c tablet diluted in a glass of orange juice. Feel terrific now! Sort of.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Skip the aspirin or anything with aspirin or Tylenol. It's been proven to cause worse hangovers.
I use Brioschi. It's an antacid. Dissolve it in water (stops dehydration). The sodium bicarb it's made from contains electrolytes which also stops the dehydration. The fact that it's an antacid sooths the upset stomach and any indigestion you might have too.!
Great stuff!!!!!!!
