Treviso Hotels, restaurants and bus timetables in Treviso
Posted: Fri March 25, 2005 02:56 PM UTC
We are flying to Treviso with Ryan air at the end of April for 3 days. We do not want to stay in Venice but would like to spend a day there. We do not know Treviso at all. We like wandering around old towns, maybe going to small museums or galleries, eating in nice cosy resataurants having a glass of wine outside in a nice square. Could we do this in treviso? More specifically can anyone recommend
1 cosy clean fairly cheap hotel
2 Characteristic restaurants/bars
3 how to get from airport to Treviso and from Treviso to Venice
Thanks for your help

From the Treviso airport to Treviso take the bus (www.actt.it).
From Treviso to Venice take the bus (www.actv.it) or the train, that's faster (www.trenitalia.com).
Find a lot of nice cosy restaurants and bars close to the centre of the city (Piazza dei Signori and Calmaggiore).
About the hotels find only two 4 stars hotels in the centre of the city (www.hotelcarlton.it and www.hcontinental.it) and a 2 star hotel (www.albergocampeol.it).
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help. I've contacted the hotel continental and looked at the websites for the trains and busses. I feel much more relaxed about our break now.
