I plan to go to club ambiance in june 2005, would like to know if it is a young and lively resort, with plenty to do, join in etc? or is it a couple orientated resort. Also are the day trips safe enough to go alone on - if you are female?

I'll let you know in a few weeks. My fiance and I are travelling there the last week in April for a week. I'll post as soon as we get back and give you the low down.

Hi - I don't know about Club Ambiance, but I've travelled alone a couple times to Jamaica and have taken day trips from the resort I was staying in. It's safe, but just be prepared to be flirted with/hit upon. The guys aren't usually too obnoxious, though . . . if you make it clear that you aren't available/interested, they back off really quickly. I've never had a problem.
