My hire company says I cannot take my hire car on a ferry so I will need to leave it in Jablanac when I visit Rab. Does anyone know where there is secure parking in Jablanac?

Why not ??? If it is advice of your hire company then
Change your hire company !!! or... Use ferry from Baska to RAB (in summer) or... Ignore hire company advice and take ferry Jablanac - Rab they take all tipe of vehicles except maybe nuclear powered. In Jablanac you have parking but not SECURED parking. Wellcome to RAB. In the meantime look at the webcam on link: http://www.webcam.hak.hr/

Just an update
Left our car in Jablanac. We found a park no problems and it was there when we got back so it was all good. The town was much, much smaller than expected and I didn't get the impression that crime was a problem! There were no taxi's at the port on Rab, but the ticket booth attendant was kind enough to call one for us. The fare was quite expensive - about £20 for a 10-15 minute trip into Rab Town
