| Iquitos | Iquitos to Quito by Boat Posted: Sun March 20, 2005 02:06 PM UTC
Hello
Is this journey possible? If so has anyone done it and what's it like, how long does it take etc? I have heard Puclalpa to Iquitos is possible but wondered if I oculd get all the way to Quito by boat. Cheers |

I have not done this trip myself but I met someone in Peru who had travelled down the Rio Negro (I think) from somewhere south east of Quito to Iquitos. It took them a few weeks and they spoke good spanish, I know it is possible but it could be difficult. I took a boat from Yurimaguas to Iquitos which was lots of fun. And would have liked to try the river from Ecuador to Iquitos but did not have the time.
Good Luck
