Check out the VT Paris pages for hotel tips. There are many selections in all budgets. One to page I suggest is GUYON's Paris page.

Hmm, what exactly is your budget ? I stayed at GRAND HOTEL LEVEQUE when I was in Paris. It's a small but comfortable little hotel situated at the chic Rue Cler district , not too far from the Eiffel Tower, subway and lots of good restaurants. This joint is rather popular so book way in advance...

Cost, booking details, etc @ http://www.hotel-leveque.com/

Enjoy your stay at Paris,
Bpacker

Hi there,

Well, if you find the hotels too expensive and don't mind staying in hostels, then try them out and it will work out much cheaper. There are quite a few youth hostels as well as independent ones near the central station in Brussels and quite good and safe too. All very close to most of the main attractions, so you will be able to walk to most places in a short time!!! Should be the same for Paris too. Makes sense to stay in a hostel only if you are travelling alone, as you will be paying almost the same price for a double room in smaller hotels if you split the cost for two persons in one room.

Cheers,
Aadil.

I don't know your requirements, but I have stayed for years (last 2001) at the Hotel du Lys, 6th, just off the Blvd. St Germain and St Michel. Basic services, but all rooms have bath & TV & hair dryers; many are very small but atmospheric. (Go as a single or with a lover!) It cost me about $70 single.

Les Trois Poussins near the Pigalle district is in a nice quiet location, walking distance to most places. It is very clean and comfortable and there are 2 metro stations very nearby.

You can find it on expedia.
