Afternoon around 3 is best time.Small Synagogue but nice.
If you happen to visit Cochin, India, don't miss-out a visit to Synagogue which is rather big and beautiful. This is just for your information.

The entire Jewish Quarter of Cordoba is interesting. There is a statue of Maimonedes on Judeos Street. Cordoba is a beautiful little town and the Great Mosque (La Mezquita) is one of the most magnificent buildings I've ever seen. It easily gives the Alhambra a run for the money. If you visit Toledo, there is the strangest name I've ever heard of for a place of worship...Sinagoga Santa Maria La Blanca (St. Mary's Synagogue). Our guide told us with pride that "Spain is now 110% Catholic".
Enjoy your trip. Happy Travels, Irv

The Synagogue in Toledo has a Christian name because it was taken over by the Christians in the early 15th Century. This happened to many structures when the Christians drove the Moors out of Spain and the Jews were told to either convert or leave. The Mosque of Cordoba might have been destroyed had the Christians not decided to apportion a central part for the construction of a chapel. The irony is that ruining the Great Mosque of Cordoba actually saved it.
