Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to organise a day boat trip to Kom Ombo from Aswan. We have read that it's best to travel by the water rather than by bus but we have no idea where we could book this. Heard a felucca would take too long for a day trip. Any tips would be good

You might like to do what the four of us did. We boarded a felucca about 10am and sailed to an island where we spent the night onboard under the stars.(3 weeks ago) The felucca captain did all the cooking and we were looked after very well. After breakfast we sailed over to the side (can't remember if it was east or west) where we were picked up and taken to Kom Ombo and Edfu temples. As the vehicles must go in convoy the only time we felt was wasted was waiting for them to get ready!! We ended up in Luxor. This is to be recommended- not much point in going to Egypt at all if you're talking about too much time on the river!!
