travelling to formia for a wedding this summer and iam looking for advice on the best way to get to formia from naples airport.will be arriving in naples airport on a saturday morning about 10:00am.
Any advice would be very helpfull (ie.what modes of transport are available,how long it would take?etc.)

From Naples airport, a bus will take you in about 20 minutes to the Central Station (Stazione Centrale). From this station depart regularly trains directed to Roma, that stop in Formia.
Beware that not every train that goes to Rome will stop in Formia, better ask.

Whatever you do....don't take a taxi to Formia. Not only will they charge you up to 75 euro one way, they will ask you to pay for their way back. So basically you pay double. It takes 1 1/2 hours to drive from Capo to Formia. If you feel comfortable taking the train from Naples it'll be cheaper but for convenience, I would just rent a car one way for about 40 euro. Driving in Italy is easy and adventurous. oh, and there are a lot of American military flying through Naples and some of them are on their way to Gaeta which is right next to Formia, maybe you can split the cost or hitch a ride from them if you happen to ran into one of them.
