I am looking at renting a car in Lima and driving to Nazca. How is the road between these two cities? Thanks! |

The road from Lima to Nazca is a good, straight, busy highway. Its not particularly scenic (it touches the coast in parts) but is safe to drive on.

Indeed, it's a wide highway almost half of your trip, then a two lane road but in good conditions. Since there is no rail links along the coast, you will find an awful number of large lories on the road.
One safety tip is to avoid driving at all during the night in those roads, it's sadly known that lonely drivers at night are ambushed by group of thiefs in isolated parts of the road.
