| Puno | Boat from Puno to La Paz Posted: Wed March 2, 2005 04:31 PM UTC
Hi there
Does anyone know if there is a ferry boat that goes from Puno to La Paz? Or a ferry from Puno to Copacabana and then another to La Paz? I definitely don't want to go on one of those day trips that keeps coming up on the internet. Any information would be gratefully received. Many thanks. |

Yes, there's a ferry across the lake, and you then need to catch a bus to La Paz.

The description shows 'land transfer to Copacabana' so it's not really a ferry accross th elake, just a crossing of a very small part of it. Maybe this is due to teh need for a land border control??
