Kazan' New to the forum; Question about scams

Some assitance please; I was contacted by a person in Kazan, Russia. We have been sending e-mails for about two weeks and I have noticed that my questions don't get answered. She sent me her address, and I sent her a letter via UPS a week ago. UPS tells me that they can't deliver the letter because the address is incomplete. How can I find out if this person is for real and not scamming me? And how can I find out if this address is correct? I receive pictures with all her e-mails, but how can I know it her.

Take a look at the Moscow Times (07 Mar 2005). It seems that some Canadian put the bug in Putin's ear and as a result a number of scam artists have been arrested. Perhaps the individual is currently in jail.

I understand there are a lot of scams - I have communicated with a girl in Kazan too and she has said she will visit me if I can forward her travel funds - no problem if it's the real thing - would you like to exchange photos just in case it's a scam and in the event they are bold enough to use one set of photos?

I have been communicating with the same scammer Svetlana Lapina from Kazan. She gave me the same address as the other guys. Chehova street 4. I have 14 studio quality pictures she has sent me if anyone has doubts. She asks for money for a tourist visa. Please give your money to charity it will do more good than giving it to this thief. I am also reporting her to several black lists. Good luck guys.

Check out information on Elena's models website. It is VERY helpful.

Some rules of thumb...
1) If a woman contacts you, it's likely a scam
2) If a woman contacts you from a free site (e.g. date.com), it's DEFINITELY a scam.
3) It is EXTREMELY rare for a woman to ask for money within the first few letters.
4) If your questions don't get answered properly, it's likely a scam.

Trust me, I know. I have had to learn the hard way a couple of times. I have since had success. If you want to find a nice Russian woman, use Elena's models at http://www.elenasmodels.com and it's a pay site, but WELL worth it. Some borderline scammer women have made it onto Elena's, but they do an excellent job of weeding them out and are VERY responsive to any questions you have.

Hope this helps...good luck!
Gerard

Thank you for this valued information, I to thought that a so called russian "super model" was to good to be true when she said she could not find a second half.
At 27 years old and to die for looks "it was far to good to be true"
It beggers belif that a pretty 27 year old woman would respond to a profile with no picture in a profile with only very non descript information for love.
If she is a real person she will be very dissapointed when she asks for any money to be sent.
Thanks again for saveing me from myself.

Yes it does. I read the English Edition of the Moscow Times most mornings. Just use google search engine or yahoo. It gives you a link to the St Pete's Times as well.
