Why hello there future Vegas Goer. I have to say that Veagas has changed alot and is now a real family place. Kids esp. even though they arent allowed on the gamble floor but there is so much more to do than that anyway. The sites are great and the food and shows are worth every penny. I would stay on the Strip and in a larger hotel the Belagio of Paris or something like that. During the day the kids will love to go to the rollercoaster nad the Bellagio makes you feel like you are a king. I mean this is the place for indulgance. I lived in Vegas for a whole month at the Bellagio and never wanted to leave. I mean gambling is great but remember the house always wins if you stay long enough. The shows are great for kids to see and if you book early you can get good seats. It matters what your kids are into but the copperfield magic show is great. I went there with 4 other guys age 25-30 and we loved it and couldn't figure out how he did it all. Go there and enjoy it is a great place but bring your checkbook and credit cards and try to stay away from the blackjack tables cause your kids want to go to college (that was a joke from vegas vacation with Chevy chase.)

Take them!!!
We took our children about 4 years ago when they were about 13 and 11. The Circus Circus hotel has its own theme park under cover plus the big top inside for circus acts. New York New York Hotel has a great roller coaster plus the stratosphere and sahara hotels have them also. The Mirage has the secret garden,I could go on and on about the strip but then run out of time to tell you about everything else.
Hire a car and visit the valley of fire ( where the original star trek was filmed)Hoover dam the list is endless.
My daughter was 11 when we went and all she talks about is when can we go back.
All the resturants are very famliy friendly

leave them at home unless you plan on explaing the birds and bees all during the trip if you do take them keep them away from the porn operators on the strip. Kids are not allowed in any area that is casino or serves liquor so dont plan on doing much of that while you are there with them unless your husband or someone can watch them
