Planning to tavel to Sheffield

Hi,

I am from Singpore. Just a few question about Sheffield. I am going to take a plane from Singapore to Sheffield. I do a lot search about Sheffield and find out that there is no international flight to Sheffield City Airport (Correct me if I am wrong). What i plan is to take a plane to Manchester Airport then a coach to Sheffield.

Is there any good alternative way to Sheffield?

Any near International Airport from Sheffield rather than Manchester?

And maybe anyone can give mi a few website to booking of coaches and the operating time and the estimated price of the coaches.

OK. As if for instance that I will be flying from Singapore to London Heathrow Airport, where can I buy the coach bus ticket to Sheffield if I don't want to buy them online?

And also the price I check for National Express is 39.50 GBP. Is it expensive?

Is there other coach company recommended?

Hello Alvin. There are frequent direct train connections from Manchester Airport to Sheffield (most require a change at Manchester Piccadilly). No need for reservations.

fly to MAN (Manchester airport) then take a coach to Sheffield.. i think this is the best way!!!...

Fly to Manchester Airport which is only about 40 miles from Sheffield. Plenlty of trains and buses.

Singapore to london heathrow airport might be the best bet. There are alot of trains from london to sheffield but the network rail are often not on time. It takes about 2 hours on the train.

you could enjoy london before you visit sheffield? There is nothing much to do in sheffield!

Failing the above, singapore to manchester airport would be the next best alternative route. Anyway, enjoy your trip.

Manchester is a pleasant airport for plane to train transfer, London Heathrow is just about the worst anywhere on this globe and should be avoided at any cost.
