2 days is not much time for diving Belize. You can see the whale sharks in April in Belize. But, the operators tell you that if you give them 3 days you have a good chance of seeing one. So, with 2 days I don't know if you would want to spend all your diving time floating around hoping a whale shark comes by. You can dive from many places. The easiest would be to stay on Ambergris. Amigos Del Mar is widely held to be the best dive shop on the island and my experience with them was great. (I am using them again when I go back in 2 weeks.) Yes, the Blue hole is a great and famous dive. I loved it. But, I have heard a few people say that they were very dissappointed withit. If you want lots of pretty fish. It will not be your thing. Plenty of sharks, however. To get to the Blue Hole is a day trip. But you could do it. Without that trip there are still hundreds of dive sites to explore. If you want to shave off a couple bucks from the expences you could go to Caulker instead. More laid back supposedly and cheeper, Caulker is just south of Ambergris. If you want seclusion, try Tabacco Caye. I have never been there. But, I am dying to see it. Supposed to be very quiet, but still affordable. You can also dive off of Placencia. I don't know anything about it as the Hurricane kept people from going there when I was there.
