Nelson 2-3 hours in Nelson city - what to see
Posted: Tue February 22, 2005 04:32 AM UTC
If you have only 2-3 hours in nelson city, what would you visit?

I'm thinking of the following:
a) Nelson Market (it's a sat. when I bypass Nelson, so the market's open)
b) Church Hill
c) South Street precint
d) on and around Trafalgar Sq, Trafalgar St.

If you enjoy museums, Founder's Historic Park is worth a visit. There's a cafe there as well as a brewery, in case you're thirsty.

nelson is very beautiful...there are nice beaches....there is a ski field an hour and a half drive away...it is a very safe place for children...There are amazingly beautiful rivers for swimming...they have a skateboard park....there are plenty of sports teams....all of the schools have swimming pools....there is a water park....there is a sailing club....I grew up in Nelson and had a very fun time...but as you get older it gets a little bit boring because it is very very very very small place...the people are friendly at first but I think they are a bit snobby...it gets freeeeeeeeezing in winter but no snow...where are you moving from?
I moved to australia and things here are very cheap compared to Nelson.....it is an expensive place to live....if you have an accent...all the kids at school will want to get to know you....
