Is this town worth visiting on a Monday in early May? I see that the museum is closed, so will everything else be closed too?

On Monday mornings most of the shops in the whole of the Netherlands are closed (except centre A'dam). But Enkhuizen is in itself a beautiful place to visit and walk around in, so when you like an old "Zuiderzee" fishermen's town, Enkhuizen will suite you fine. In the afternoon shops will be opened as well, again.
