I will arrive at Civitavecchia on a cruise and we would like to go to Ostia Antica the fastest way possible.

We are trying to do the same thing. We wanted to rent a car and drive--but there are apparently very few rental agencies around the port...and the ones that are there, charge a small fortune to rent. We have rented a shuttle service to pick us up (group of 7) and take us to a small hotel/inn near the Ostia to spend the night before we fly out the next morning. The shuttle service said it would be about an hour drive (or more, depending on traffic)
We are bring charged 165 euros for all 7 of us in a van.
