Serbia and Montenegro Attractions Posted: Sun February 20, 2005 03:22 PM UTC
Two years ago, I was in the region( Bosnia, Croatia) but I did not have enough time to travel to S and M.
Are locals friendly to American tourists?
What are some attractions(museums, cultural activites and monuments, natural parks) does serbia offer?
What about Montenegro?
I'm into everything from cuisine, trying local alcoholic drinks(wine, beer, spirtits)museums and historical sites, clubs, hiking, sun bathing, and swimming, etc.
Any info appreciated!

Hello DarinaM,
I'm planning to definitely visit Belgrade, Novi Sad, and maybe Vojodinia region.
I will spend 2-3 weeks there, and would like to travel to Montenegro as well. Any particular places in Montenegro, I shouldn't miss?
As far as transportation is concerned what should I expect?
Hvala.

In Montenegro you should visit old-new capital Cetinje, then Budva, Kotor - town on UNESCO list, then Perast and artifical island with church on it "Gospa od skrpjela" - "Our lady of rock". If you have time you should visit Lovcen - peak with mausoleum of Njegos - great ruler and writer of Montenegro.
In Vojvodina try to visit Becej - and old castle now hotel "Fantast", Zrenjanin, Sremski karlovci, National park "Fruska gora", Subotica and Palic lake - actualy all towns in Vojvodina have some special spirit and I'm shure you will have great time in our coutry.
