| Riomaggiore | best way to get to Riomaggiore Posted: Wed February 16, 2005 07:04 AM UTC
We will be visiting Cinque Terre in July, driving from Siena. Is it easy to park the car in La Spezia and take the train, or should we try and park out of Riomaggiore.
Also, how long will it take to drive from Siena? |

Hi !
It might make sense to get there by train ! parking a car in that area could be quite expensive and at the same time hard to find. So in case that you have your rented car simply in order to get from Siena to 5terre, the train is the best and ceapest way !! If the car is important for you, Monterosso al Mare is the last (&most western) of the 5 villages, the biggest, and it has a big parking and even some of the hotels have their own parking. From Monterosso you may easily make excursions and hikes to all the other 4 villages !

Hi, you'd take approx 2 hours from Siena to La spezia, I sugesto to leave the car there and take a train to 5 terre, this is best just for the short time you nedd in train, for the high carpark costs there. Bye
