Krusovice dark beer
Posted: Tue February 15, 2005 03:26 PM UTC
Hi,

Could anyone tell me what the exact name is of the Krusovice dark beer? Or any other way to recognize the bottles in a shop?
Second, what other brands of dark beer are good? I know Staropramen but am more interested in smaller brands.

Ah Krusevice, one of the best lagers I've had.....yummy....better than Staropramen in my opinion.

Ah, thank you, thank you.

Of course it's simpler than I thought; the beer simply looks darker in the bottle than the pilsner. But since my parents-in-law, who know nothing about beer, have agreed to bring some back with them I like to be as precise as possible. Will mention the other two as well.

I really hope they will be able to bring those. I do like Staropramen Dark but it's relatively easy to get over here.

Well, at list here in Finland we can get those in the store, but I would like to know how much such cost in the Czech rep. I guess I pay almost 10 times the cost as here in Finland the cost is more then 2 euro per bottle.

2 euro for a half litre bottle doesn't sound that bad to me. I have no idea what a bottle costs over there. Did buy a few bottles last year in Prague, but I didn't really look at the price. I do hope my parents-in-law wille fill every available spot in their car....

It wouldn't surprise me if they did, only unintentionally. They're good at getting lost.

If you buy it in a supermarket, it should cost about 30 or 40 Eurocents a bottle, plus deposit.
I like the dark more than their blonde 10 degree. Musketyr, their 12 degree, isn't bad but frankly I don't care for their 10 at all.

The beers were delivered last Monday. 18 bottles of Krusovice, 5 Staropramen, 6 Kosel and 1 Primator. I'm a happy man.
