Paris Coeliac Food stores and Restaurants in Paris
Posted: Wed February 9, 2005 01:12 AM UTC
Hi,
I know someone who is a Coeliac (can't eat any gluten whatsoever) travelling in Paris. Does anyone have any idea if there are shops or restaurants able to cater for her? Or even where I could look to find out myself? Have tried general searches and haven't got very far.
Thank you!

Sorry I can not help on the specific. But make sure your friend knows exactly how to express her diet issue in French. Even if someone fluent in French writes it out. I was amazed when a British woman ordered a salad in Paris with olives, capers, etc., and then tried to explain in English to the French waiter that she wanted those items removed from the salad.as she was allergic to them. She got my moron tourist of the day award and she wasn't even American.
