Best bet is winter. Lots of people from coast go to Tepic in summer to beat the heat, but then you get rain. Not all day rain, but rain.

for sure tepic in the winter is the best, the rain is one of my favorite things about it it rains for short periods of times throught the day but the weather stays warm it is a very fun experience im sure that if you do not want it to be too hot the winter is the best time to go.
