| Charleroi | Travelling from Charleroi to Luxembourg. Posted: Tue February 8, 2005 07:45 PM UTC
Hello
I'm about to book flights to Charleroi to ultimately stay in Luxembourg for 4 days. I have tried the train, bus and airport web sites but I'm unable to find out the price via train return journey. The web-sites do not specify price details. Thanks for your help, it will make my life easier! |

Well... The price for a one-way trip from Charleroi to Arlon (last stop before the border) is 17 Euros. Visiting the website of the railways of Luxembourg, I found out a return ticket to Arlon is 8,40.
However, you can greatly decrease the price. You can buy a ticket at the airport including the bus transfer to Charleroi-Sud station and a one-way ticket for any Belgian town for 10 euros. You'll just have to buy the portion from Arlon to Luxemburg to complete your trip. You will have to take a train to Namur and transfer for Luxembourg. There are also special week-end discounts or youth discounts...

Oh, by the way, that rate of 10 euros for any Belgian station to Charleroi airport is also available for a return ticket. You can buy it in advance when you purchase your tickets for Luxemburg.
You have to mention it's a "code C61" ticket. More informations here: http://www.b-rail.be/nat/F/tarifs/tickets/airport/index.html Unfortunately, they don't have the English version yet. Good luck!
