| Apeldoorn | Paleis Het Loo Posted: Tue February 8, 2005 01:51 AM UTC
Is there a tour from the town to the palace? We will be travelling by train, and it looks like the palace is a way out from Apeldoorn.

I did the trip on foot last year (together with member Imaniac). From the station it's a 40 minute walk, but you always can take the local bus 102 or 104 (you need a "srippenkaart" for this).
Check our Apeldoorn pages and have fun, PJ

Hi
The Palace is not too far fom the town, you can take the bus (102 and 104) or in summer there is a special tourist bus connecting the touristy spots in the west of the town (Apenheul and Julianatoren and the Palace). On the other hand it is a nice walk and you can (perhaps) visit the Grote Kerk as well, because it is on your way to the Palace. Think also of visiting The Paleispark and (depending of month of visit) Het Oude Loo. (see my Apeldoorn page and off the beaten path tips) Jaap

How many hours should we allow for the Palace?

Count on 4 hours average.
There's much to see: - The stables with the carriages and cars and often a special exhibition. - The gardens - The restaurant - The Palace and the museum shop - The wing with medals exhibition PJ
