Does anyone know if (and when) there are buses from Izmir Airport to Dalaman in March.

I'm not sure about from the airport, but there's a major bus terminal in Izmir. I'm sure you can get from the airport to the bus terminal with a minimum of hassle.

Yes, take a taxi to the bus terminal.
I did that in mid june some years ago. My plane arrived very late in the evening, but only had to wait some hours befor my first bus left for Bodrum.
The buses goes quite frequently in Turkey.

I've been living in Izmir before I came to England. The cheapest way is take the Havas Airport Coaches from airport to the Izmir Central Coach Station. You will find lots of coach company there which will take you to Dalaman without any transfer. If you take the taxi between airport and Izmir Coach station it will cost you about 20-30 YTL which is equal about £10-15. Havas coaches is about 5 YTL, about 2 quid.
