Once you get to know the area, it is fun. West Little Rock is the best area, and safest in my opinion. I am not sure what stuff you like to do, but there is plenty once you get familiar with the city. Be careful as in any big city as crime can be higher than in any smaller town.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Little Rock and I wouldn't hesitate to move there. The people are VERY nice and the city has really transformed itself since Clinton decided to build his library there. I made friends with one of the cops, after totaling my car, and he said they added 20% to their police force and dramatically reduced the crime (Little Rock was once known for it's gang activity). They have poured quite a bit of money into the downtown revitalization projects. What were once old, abandoned factories/mills are now restaurants, condos, stores and other productive businesses that have made the Riverfront area a new, vibrant community. I found the youth in Little Rock to be very polite and motivated, even the ones which you would not believe to be. In just passing, casual conversation I had many residents of Little Rock give me their phone numbers and offer to assist me in my move to the area (which has now been delayed indefinitely). I think you'll be very happy there. Best of luck to you! :-)

Hey,
I hope you moved here! L.R. is a great place! Tons of great places to eat, good art scene, theater, symphony, etc. The city has a great range of housing from old/historic to suburban to city condos. We are alot like Austin, I think! Unlimited outdoor activities close by, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, hanggliding, swimming, water skiing, etc. You can also go hunt for diamonds after an hour or so drive! How cool is that! And the best thing is the people, nothing but friendly, except outsiders that have moved here! Ha, ha! Anyway, hope this helps!
