Re: Weather & Things to do Posted: Mon January 31, 2005 08:54 PM UTC
Visited Turks & Caicos for a week about 6 years ago - stayed at Club Med. There were plenty of activities and sports available at Club Med, but I do understand that away from Club Med there wasn't a lot to do (or night life) on the island. One boat trip to an island preserve for iguanas was interesting - covered with thousands of iguanas, that eat out of your hand. (Bring iguana food with you to that island.)
We have traveled many places, including French Polynesia, Hawaii, most of the Caribbean - but we agree that the water in Turks & Caicos was the clearest we have seen anywhere, and the beaches probably had the best sand (and were uncrowded).
Would expect any showers to be brief and not a problem in February - and the rain is warm. Hurricane season is June - November, and rainfall is more plentiful then. February weather should be nice - but, with weather, there are no guarantees anywhere.
