Three of us are thinking of flying ryanair to Hahn we
have not visited Germany before and are looking for reasonably priced accomadation and interesting places to visit by public transpor time will be limited as we can only manage 3 or 4 days. A friend had told us about a good place to stay in a town named Soonerhawsen spelling not right but i cannot find it. any help would be great. |

Hahn airport is in the middle of nowhere, because it is a former military airbase. There are only small villages around it. If you not only want to stay overnight (which would be possible next to the airport in the village Lautzenhausen) then I recommend going to Koblenz. This city is about 50 kilometers from Hahn airport and has a nice atmosphere. There are busses from the airport to Koblenz.
