Park Fees

Can anyone tell me what the current conservation fees are for Maasai Mara? My information says $30 per day. Is there anychance that it may go up within the year?

Is there an official Kenyan National Parks website where I can find this info?

Not according to the Kenyan Wildlife Service on this link. It's $50 US per day:

Well I'm really glad to hear that. I think raising the price $20 in one year would be ridiculous.

I had no time to visit the Masai Mara last Jan, but I can give you ALI mobile number +254734583120 (also ali_bakari@hotmail.com).
. He is official Safari guide and will know for sure. During my last Tsavo East Safari we did not pay any extra fee, the entrance was included in the tour.

In august 2005 I payd 30 us dolars per day as a park fee. Today I hear somewhere that the price had risen to 40 dolars a day argh!!!!

That must be in response to Tanzania raising its park fees. I read in the Citizen (Tanzania paper) that they wanted to raise rates to the Serengeti to 100 dollars a day.

Go see the parks while you can still afford it!
