Prefecture of Chios Recapturing a trip to Chios: the most representative recipes
Posted: Sat January 29, 2005 03:30 AM UTC
A friend went to Europe and of all the places she went she liked Chios the best. Now we're having a dinner for her and I need to know the recipes that you think represent Chios the best. Your favorites, the ones that remind you most of Chios, the most distinctive or whatever. It's ok to list several. Thanks for your help in making this dinner work out well. If the sponsors don't want this thread to grow but are willing to help me out (they will let you know ;) you can email recipes to me at rcantor@att.net

Thanks again!

Try this link

If there is any shop in your area or any e-shop selling greek products try searching for Chios "spoon sweets", mastich, ouzo (apalarina or tetteris brand) or souma (very strong spirit), mastelo cheese (try that on the grill).

You can also prepare a traditional greek salad with tomato, cucumber, feta cheese, oregano, salt and olive oil.
