Kazan' Seems Confusing

Does anybody know ALL the details for setting up a trip to Kazan from California? I seem to get different info from different agencies and even an Attorney.......I have been given prices from $155.00 to over $5,000.00 for the same trip.....visa registration problems, flight vs train Moscow to Kazan....best/worse hotels in Kazan.....invitation needed , etc , etc , etc.......seems like nobody knows all the detail.......Help please!

I'm surprised too. I think it's 10th forum this January about Kazan!!! :-)))

about problems? visa, too long but i don't know the price. the ticket for airlines Moscow-Kazan-Moscow is USD 150-200 to and back, hotel, i had 3* hotel for USD 30 per night. ...

I think it's cause of 1000 anniversary of Kazan' this year. Besides I heard ( as a matter of fact i was born in Republic Tatarstan and I have a lot of friends and relatives there - and my parents live there) that the president of Republic began a programm for tourism developing and i think it's good advertising abroad. Well, i think it's possible to see everything during 2-3 days and the most interesting places in Tatarstan are nature places between cities: forests, river and so on. but in any way, the wish of tourism developing is good because we have a poor tourist structure
