Holà! Am planning to go to Cancun from middle may till the end of june for my formation's school. I'd like to know what is the best:

Flight: Paris-Cancun (which is expensive, I did not find flight less then 800 euros for this period?)

OR

Flight: Paris-Mexico ( then I stay few days in the capital to visit and meet ppl and then from Mexico DF I take the bus to Cancun?)

What is the best to do? Can u gimme some tips plz!!!

The bus from Mexico DF to Cancun takes quite a lot of time... I think it was 24 hours or something like that.

We planned on taking the bus at night, and making a stop about halfway in Villahermosa to explore that city one or two days before completing the busride. But we were lucky to find a cheap flight instead, and 2 hours on a plane is much better than 24 hours on the bus... :)

Taking the bus from Mexico City to Cancun and back would be a torture if your only purpose is to make the distance in the shortest amount of time. Half your trip would be by night and your site seeing would consist of daytime countryside and bus stations. It would cost about 48 hours and I guess around 80 euros. Excluding food and drink you might save about 150 euros over a round trip flight.
You need time. Expecially if you have little money. If you just do your foundation in Cancun -- well it would be like my visiting France but spending my time at Disneylandia, France. (Except I expect in Disneylandia, France most of the visitors speak French, whereas in Cancun most speak English.) Would you ever recommend that someone spend 2 or 3 days in Paris after flying all the way to France and then they go to Disneylandia to live and work?
I suspect your arrival time is dictated by a school schedule. This is also when American college students head out for summers in Mexico. If you could fly earlier, you might save money. The same would be true if you could delay your return to September. Can't you extend your visit for a month or two and see Mexico?
A slow trip between Cancun and Mexico City would be a great experience. Like Paris, Mexico City requires a week to release some of its most remarkable charms. Good luck, bob

The bus trip from Mexico to Cancun is long and NO fun. I'd say Mexico CIty is a good place to avoid as well, but many would not agree.
Have you checked into other flights. People used to fly from Barcelona to Cancun very cheaply. From London. also.
