Take care crossing the road
Posted: Sat February 15, 2003 07:19 PM UTC
Sadly, a dutch tourist was killed here today whilst crossing the road on a marked pedestrian crossing. It is law for all drivers to allow a pedestrian to cross at a marked place. What makes this incident worse was that she was hit by a police car. It maybe the safest place to cross but, please do look at the other traffic as this "law" has only been in place for the past year and many still don't stop for the pedestrian.

thats a shame Jason we all have to abide by the law,and yet you get reckless peace officers that break the law as if it doesnt matter to them at all,all people including the officers of law should take heed at what they are doing.

Jason,

you know better than me that no law without "punishment" can change people's mind, at least Czech minds.
Since the new law entered into the power the number of pedestrians killed or injured on the "zebra" is increasing.
