March is a popular time to visit and offers, what some feel, is the best weather of the year. Depending on your needs, wants, and desires, I would reccomend booking in advance. You would probably be able to find a place to stay but would you want to? There are shared rooms with no a/c and shared bathrooms hostel type places from 8 dollars a night, there are high dollar places with all the amenities you would want, and many in between. I recomend you log on to Roatanet.com and search the hotels and vacation rentals, you can also go to http://roatanet.com/roatan-news-chat.php and search the archives. If you were going to be there at all during Easter week I would say there is little to no chance of you finding a place. Our place, which is off the beaten path and a few miles from west end and west bay, is even booked for the first and last week of march, so I imagine the closer to the beach or town you get , the harder it will be.
Good luck, Eric

I agree... March is the best time with late September being a very close second.
So where are you going to be at? I am off to Anthonys Key Resort in a few hours and just can not wait. Remember to enjoy where ever you are at and get to see some of the island. It is a true paradise. Keith
