Together with my sister Nelie I will visit BCN in two or three weeks. I reallly looking forward to visit Parc Guelle, but somewhere on the internet I've read that the Parc is closed due to some restauration works.

Is it true? Has anyone some more infos about it?

maybe you've misunderstood Park Guell for Palau Guell, a building tha't, as you say, it's gonna be closed this year, due to reinforcement of the concrete used on the vault... it's a Gaudí Buildinfg as well.

I don't think a park like Park Guell can be closed, mainly because it's in fact a public park and there's a school inside, or there was.

mmhh!!!!!!!!....maybe "Mr Clos" is planning a 2nd "Forum of Cultures: the comeback" on the Park Guell.. I can see it: a couple of convention centres on the market square, a couple of skyscrapers by the lizard... the entrance houses demolishes to give way to a wide avenue surrounded by expensive "fashion" appartmetns... a 30 € fee to enter.... no food allowed, and 50 € to eat gaudi-shaped-food!!!

Thanks for your help!

Isa, I guess I have read it somewhere on VT but as Bada-Ran said I propably mixed it up with Palau Guell.

I am pretty sure, that it is the PALAU Guell - which will be closed until October 2006, I think. The Parque Guell should be open!!!

And in case, you really do make a sit-in there, let me know, it was my favourite spot in BCN!

Oh, and Chica, the Ryan Air bus stop in Barcelona is at Passeig de Sant Joan 52

Enjoy your stay!!

You wanted to know about the weather in February in Barcelona... It is cold and hopefully it will rain. I say hopefully because it hasn't rained in months and we really need the water. I'd say that the temp. will probably be about 12 degrees on average. Maybe if you are lucky, 14. Probably mild for you, but quite cold for us!
Have a good time.
