Puno Travel Forum

Hello All...
We are traveling from Cuzco to Puno via bus and I are ultimately making our way to La Paz. I would like to skip a night in Puno and go straight to Copacabana Bolivia. So a couple questions here:

1) How long is the bus ride from Cuzco to Puno?
2) Can we grab a late bus from Puno to Copacabana and avoid staying a night in Puno?
3) How long is the busride from Puno to Copacabana?

Any info you guys have for me is wonderful! This will be my first trip to SA so Im very excited!

1.about bus....was a very bad road;better to take the train from cusco to juliaca and puno:it lasts around 12 hours...but worth while:sharing local life and enjoying fantastic landscapes!
2.why not!(but many things to visit around puno!)
3. by direct buses,around two hours and a half!

Nice to hear that you are coming to visit Peru and Bolivia. I am peruvian.

About your questions, the bus that goes from Cusco to Puno have a duration of 8 hours aprox.

the buses depart from Puno only in the morning so you will have to pass one night in Puno so the next day you can catch a bus in the morning to go to Copacabana it takes 5hrs .
