| Brooklyn | South Elliot Place in Brooklyn -safety and directions from Manhattan Posted: Fri January 14, 2005 05:35 PM UTC
I might have a job interview coming up at South Elliot Place in Brooklyn. I was wondering what kind of area this is and if it is one of the safer or less than safe areas.
Also, if I am coming from the port authority bus terminal in manhattan.(42nd street and 8th ave.), what subway do I take to get to this area of brooklyn. I have only taken one subway in my life. Anyway thanks for any help. Alex |

There are better areas and there are definitely worse areas too. You should be fine.
Take the A or C train to Brooklyn from 42nd Street/Port Authority subway station. Then at Hoyt-Schmerhorn Street transfer to the G train going to Queens/Court Square. Take the G train to Fulton Street. South Elliott Place is a block east or two from the train station depending on which exit you get off of. Approximate travel time is over 1 hour depending on train conditions.
